The connection of the city to the sea is a very dominant element in Ashdod. We expressed this idea in the form of the building’s exterior, while redefining the concept of what is a public square. The cultural heart of Ashdod, that is, the whale, the theater and the art museum, are all in this compound behind the building. The center provides surfing and yoga activities, something that many young people do. With housing for young people, jobs and a real public square, this change is reviving the environment, and making a tribute to historic landmarks. This is what the cultural center of Ashdod means.
